Home Buying
Making Real Estate Dreams Come True
If you would like information via e-mail, fax, phone or
in person on homes meeting your personal search
criteria, please enter your information below. Thanx.
Buying a home can be one of the most enjoyable and/or the most traumatic of affairs. I've listed below the
process and the order in which home buying can be made easiest.

The Home Buying Process

1.  Determining Your Needs

2. Pre-qualification (See Mortgage Loan Link Above)

3. Selecting Homes to See (Review Available Listings)

4. Viewing Homes

5. The Contract (With Your Complete Understanding)

6. Earnest Money Deposit (A Good Faith Deposit)

7. Acceptance/Negotiation/Counter Offer

8. Inspections & Appraisal (Insurance for You)

9. Lender Approval (Based on You and the Property)

10. Closing

11. Possession

Although you "hire" an agent, so to speak, you don't pay that agent. They are usually paid by the seller of a
property at the closing table. An agent who provides you with a multitude of services and advise, comes with hat
in hand, trying to earn your business. You are best served by finding an experienced agent you like and trust.
One who listens to your wants and needs and acts accordingly. Having five or six agents scrambling over just so
many listings, creates more of a nightmare than a dream.

The Internet has made our jobs as Realtors much easier than it was ten years ago. We have instant information
available to us with a few key strokes at the computer. The link above at Find Homes shows just what
information is available to you. These sites are the public parallel sites to our Multiple Listing Service.
Our private MLS site provides a little more information, such as a property's history, days on the market,
ownership, etc. Some of this information can be valuable in ascertaining what may be a "plum" ready for
picking; or something dying on the vine.

I've worked with Buyers for all of my career. I'm willing to provide you with listings to preview if you so desire.
You can determine if you like a location or a neighborhood simple by driving by. I'm also willing to spend whatever
time it takes to show any home that meets your criteria and price, if you prefer. I'm a firm believer that a home sells
itself. What I feel my job is is making you aware of what the good and the bad points of a home are.
I'll advise and you
decide.....it shouldn't be any other way!
